Remote Chief of Staff to CEO – Late-Stage Enterprise SaaS

The Company

A leading enterprise software company in cloud computing, modeling & simulation, and applied AI is transforming how businesses innovate and develop products. As a late-stage startup, we are scaling rapidly, expanding our market presence, and enhancing our product offerings to serve global enterprises. We are a remote-first organization with team members across the US.

The Role

We are looking for a strategic, high-impact Chief of Staff to partner directly with our Founder & CEO to drive efficiency, alignment, and execution across the company. As the Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, optimizing cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational excellence. You will act as an extension of the CEO, helping to prioritize, execute, and communicate key business objectives internally and externally. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and has a deep understanding of enterprise software and scaling SaaS businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic & Operational Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO, providing leverage across strategic priorities. Lead and execute special projects that drive company growth, efficiency, and scalability.
  2. Internal Operations: Run the weekly executive staff meeting, ensuring an effective agenda, tracking action items, and driving accountability. Manage the operational cadence of the CEO and executive team, including strategic planning cycles.
  3. Automation & Efficiency: Leverage the latest automation tools (e.g., Zapier, AI-driven workflows) to improve productivity. Develop scalable systems for contacts management, investor tracking, and internal communications.
  4. Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive CEO-level priorities, ensuring initiatives are moving forward with accountability. Coordinate with Finance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to streamline decision-making and execution.
  5. Board & Investor Communications: Prepare and refine presentations, analyses, and reports for board meetings, investor updates, and executive offsites. Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and annual strategic planning processes.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or business operations within high-growth SaaS environments.
  2. Deep understanding of enterprise software and scaling SaaS businesses.
  3. High integrity – trusted confidant, able to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion.
  4. Executive presence – comfortable engaging with high-status individuals, including board members, investors, and Fortune 500 executives.
  5. Intrinsic motivation – operates with urgency and ownership, seeking to drive impact without needing external validation.
  6. Tech-savvy and process-oriented – capable of leveraging automation and productivity tools to drive efficiency.
  7. Humble and accountable – embraces feedback, takes responsibility, and continuously seeks growth.
  8. US-based remote role with occasional travel for company offsites and key meetings.

Compensation & Benefits

  1. Competitive base salary commensurate with late-stage SaaS compensation (typical range $180,000 – $240,000+)
  2. Meaningful equity package
  3. Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision
  4. Remote-first work environment with flexible hours
  5. Professional development stipend and regular team offsites
