The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll architect and optimize the core systems that power our high-volume data platform. Working on our Foundations team, you'll:

1. Design and implement high-performance architectures handling millions of operations/sec
2. Lead our AWS infrastructure strategy and re-architecture initiatives
3. Build scalable, reliable systems using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern data technologies
4. Collaborate across engineering to unblock teams and elevate system performance
5. Own the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure projects

What You'll Do

1. Architect multi-tenant data systems with enterprise-grade reliability
2. Optimize our AWS ecosystem (EKS, ECS, Aurora, Kinesis, etc.)
3. Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
4. Enhance observability with Prometheus and monitoring tools
5. Participate in on-call rotation and system maintenance
6. Mentor peers on DevOps best practices

Tech Stack & Requirements

1. Core: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS)
2. Data Systems: Aurora, Redshift, Redis, Elasticsearch
3. Languages: Python (for infrastructure tooling)
4. Experience: 4+ years DevOps/SRE in high-scale environments
5. Mindset: Ownership mentality with strong architectural judgment
