About the Role
Following a period of significant growth, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-velocity team of experienced software engineers. This role is central to our continued expansion. You will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will be responsible for shaping how integrations are built and deployed for thousands of customers globally.
You will manage a team working across a sophisticated tech stack that includes a low-code integration builder, a TypeScript SDK, and AI-powered features. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance people leadership with deep technical involvement, contributing to the codebase when it makes sense and ensuring your team has the direction and support to do their best work.
What You Will Do
- Lead and Grow: You will manage, mentor, and grow a team of experienced software engineers, helping them level up their skills and careers.
- Drive Technical Excellence: You will own technical architecture decisions and uphold high code quality standards across multiple product areas.
- Ship with Velocity: You will define and track engineering metrics, write project plans, and partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap, ensuring your team ships high-quality features efficiently.
- Build with Customer Focus: You will work closely with Customer Success and Sales Engineering teams to ensure we are building what customers genuinely need.
- Shape the Team: You will be instrumental in hiring great engineers and fostering a high-trust, high-autonomy team culture rooted in accountability.
- Stay Technical: You will remain hands-on with our tech stack (TypeScript, Python/Django, React), contributing to code and technical decisions to maintain credibility and context.
About You
- You have successfully transitioned from a strong individual contributor engineer to an effective engineering leader.
- You have hands-on experience with at least one core area of our stack: TypeScript, Python/Django, or React.
- You have experience managing distributed/remote teams and know how to build a strong, inclusive culture from a distance.
- You are an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, and understand this is critical for remote success.
- You thrive in high-performance environments and know how to maintain team velocity and morale.
- You have a bias for action, embrace accountability, and genuinely derive satisfaction from helping your team win and grow together.
Bonus Points If You Have Experience With
- Integration platforms, workflow automation, or AI-powered developer tools.
- B2B SaaS products with external-facing APIs or embedded integration components.
- AI-enabled software development processes.
- Kanban or other agile methodologies.
- Building developer-facing products and tools.
