About the Company

We are building the operating system for the future of teamwork. In a world cluttered with disparate tools and fragmented data, we believe that technology should serve to reconnect people, not divide them. Our platform introduces an autonomous AI teammate designed to eliminate drudgery, amplify human potential, and foster genuine collaboration.

Unlike traditional software that merely hosts information, our solution creates a unified intelligence layer across the entire enterprise. By synchronizing structured data (like tickets and records) with unstructured data (like documents and messages), we build a dynamic, living "Memory" of the business. This allows our AI to not only answer questions but to reason, take action, and proactively drive workflows.

We are a team of over 650 professionals across eight global offices, backed by leading venture capitalists including Khosla Ventures and Mayfield. We are trusted by global industry leaders to break down silos and usher in a new era of human-AI collaboration—what we call Team Intelligence.

The Role: Forward Deployed Engineer (Applied AI)

The Applied AI Engineering team sits at the intersection of product development and customer success. We are looking for a hybrid builder and strategist who thrives on solving complex technical challenges directly in the field.

In this role, you are the bridge between the potential of our platform and the reality of our customers’ businesses. When a customer identifies a gap—whether it’s integrating a legacy CRM, automating a mission-critical workflow, or customizing an AI agent—you are the one who engineers the solution. Your mission is to ensure our customers realize tangible value by deeply understanding their needs, owning the technical roadmap for their integration, and delivering high-impact code.

What You’ll Do

  1. Engineer Customer Outcomes: Spend 70-80% of your time coding and building. Design, develop, and deploy custom AI agents, bi-directional integrations, and automation scripts that weave our platform into the fabric of the customer's existing tech stack.
  2. Unify Data Ecosystems: Connect diverse enterprise systems (both SaaS and legacy) using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures. You will build the critical "Knowledge Graph" that allows our platform to understand and act across a customer’s entire digital landscape.
  3. Optimize AI Performance: Go beyond basic implementation. Apply prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search, and leverage frameworks like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to ensure the AI delivers accurate, context-aware insights.
  4. Translate Data into Decisions: Write complex SQL queries and build intuitive dashboards that transform raw data into actionable business intelligence for customer stakeholders.
  5. Lead with Technical Empathy: Spend 30% of your time face-to-face (virtual or in-person) with customers. You will lead technical workshops, gather requirements, conduct live demos of proofs-of-concept, and iterate rapidly based on real-time feedback.
  6. Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the technical anchor, maintaining constant communication loops between the customer, internal product managers, engineering teams, and customer success managers to ensure seamless solution delivery.
  7. Travel for Impact: Be willing to travel up to 30% to customer sites for deep-dive implementation sprints, technical onboarding, and strategic planning sessions.

Who You Are

  1. A Hybrid Builder: You possess 5+ years of experience in software development or platform engineering. You are as comfortable writing production code as you are whiteboarding architecture with a CTO. Customer-facing experience is a significant advantage.
  2. Full-Stack Adjacent: You have strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python. You understand data structures and algorithms deeply. (Familiarity with Go is a nice-to-have).
  3. An AI Practitioner: You have applied knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs). You understand the nuances of prompt engineering, function calling, and how to build evaluation frameworks to validate the performance of agentic AI solutions.
  4. An Integration Architect: You have deep experience with large-scale data synchronization patterns. You are skilled in REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and pub/sub architectures. You understand the complexities of schema alignment and data mapping between heterogeneous systems.
  5. Cloud-Native & Observant: You have hands-on experience deploying solutions on serverless and edge platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions). You prioritize robust logging, telemetry, and error handling to ensure solutions are maintainable and debuggable.
  6. Context-Aware: You understand the importance of context in system design. Familiarity with concepts like Model Context Protocol (MCP) or building adaptive integrations is a plus.
  7. A Communicator & Empath: You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can translate complex technical trade-offs into business value and genuinely enjoy understanding the user's pain points.
  8. Educated & Curious: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe) are a bonus, but a relentless curiosity to learn new tools and domains is non-negotiable.
