The Role: Where You Come In

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the technical architect of our most strategic client relationships. You will work on-site with our lighthouse customers—sophisticated financial firms and research organizations—to deploy, customize, and optimize our AI-native research platform for their specific, mission-critical workflows.

This is not a traditional solutions engineering role. It embodies our core principle: "Forward-Deployed with Product DNA." You will embed directly with clients to own their outcomes, while simultaneously building the core platform features that will serve the entire market. The code you write and the architectural decisions you make will have an immediate and tangible impact, potentially influencing million-dollar research outcomes.

Within your first 90 days, you will:

1. Rapidly build and develop vertical-specific applications on top of our core platform.
2. Engage directly with Portfolio Managers at institutions managing $10B+ in assets to scope and build bespoke research workflows.
3. Develop deep expertise in agentic tooling, products, and the underlying technologies.
4. Own a significant customer engagement from initial scoping to successful deployment and adoption.

What You'll Do

1. Engineer solutions at client sites: Deploy and customize AI research workflows directly where critical financial decisions happen, rapidly prototyping solutions that push our platform's boundaries.
2. Drive product innovation from the field: Identify technical gaps and opportunities while embedded with clients, then architect and implement new capabilities that become core product features for all customers.
3. Build enterprise integrations: Design and implement complex integrations with client data infrastructure, research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ), and proprietary internal systems.
4. Optimize platform performance: Scale our AI platform for client-specific use cases, solving complex performance and data challenges in real-world research environments.
5. Bridge field and product development: Rotate between forward-deployed client work and core platform development, bringing critical field insights directly into our technical roadmap and architecture.
6. Own critical deployments: Ensure our platform performs with extreme reliability for clients' most critical research operations, debugging complex issues across the full stack.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

1. 3-5 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of deploying complex systems in demanding enterprise environments.
2. Direct client-facing technical experience in a role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar.
3. Strong full-stack development skills, with proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, and experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and API development.
4. Expertise in enterprise and data integration, including SSO/SCIM, RBAC, database integrations, and security requirements.
5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with both C-level executives and technical teams.
6. Willingness to travel regularly (30-50%) for on-site client engagements from our NYC HQ.

1. Previous exposure to financial services or familiarity with investment research workflows.
2. Experience with large-scale data processing, ETL pipelines, or analytics platforms.
