The Role: Architect the Core Experience

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building the core platform that powers our AI-native research experience. You will own the complete user journey—from crafting intuitive React interfaces that financial professionals rely on, to designing the robust backend systems that process billions of data points in real-time.

This role embodies our principle of 'Forward-Deployed with Product DNA.' You will build scalable platform features that directly solve acute customer problems, ensuring the technology is both powerful for our lighthouse clients and scalable for the entire market. The code you write will directly power research workflows that drive million-dollar investment decisions.

What You'll Do

1. Achieve Frontend Excellence: Build sophisticated, performant React applications with TypeScript that financial professionals rely on for critical research. Create intuitive interfaces for complex data visualization and AI-powered insights using modern design systems and Tailwind CSS.
2. Develop Robust Backend Systems: Design and implement scalable backend services that orchestrate complex AI workflows, manage high-volume data pipelines, and ensure platform reliability.
3. Own Full-Stack Feature Development: Take features from concept to production—designing React components, implementing backend APIs, optimizing database queries, and ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality.
4. Architect for Scale: Build systems that evolve from prototype to enterprise-grade, implementing effective caching strategies, database optimizations, and microservices that handle high-volume financial data.
5. Engineer AI-Powered Workflows: Seamlessly integrate cutting-edge language models and AI capabilities into the user experience, building intelligent research tools that augment human decision-making.
6. Develop Enterprise Integrations: Build secure, reliable integrations with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ) and internal systems, adhering to strict enterprise security protocols.
7. Drive Performance Engineering: Optimize application performance across the entire stack, from React component rendering and bundle size to backend API response times and database query performance.
8. Collaborate on Product Vision: Work directly with product and design teams to translate user feedback into technical specifications, participating in user research to iteratively improve the platform.
9. Uphold Production Excellence: Implement comprehensive testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines. You own the reliability and performance of your features in production.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with the technical depth of a senior engineer and the product intuition of a future founder.

1. 4+ years of full-stack development experience with a proven record of shipping and maintaining production applications at scale.
2. Modern Frontend Mastery: Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS is a plus). Experience with state management (Redux/Zustand) and testing frameworks (Jest/Vitest).
3. Strong Backend Chops: Proficiency in backend development with Node.js or Python. Solid experience in API design, database modeling (PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
4. Full-Stack Architecture Mindset: Experience designing complete application architectures, from database schema to UI component structure, with a keen understanding of performance trade-offs throughout the stack.
5. Enterprise Application Experience: A background in building applications for enterprise customers, including implementing authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and security best practices.
6. Data-Driven Development: Experience working with and visualizing large datasets, and integrating with data processing pipelines.
7. Product Mindset: A user-focused approach to engineering. You enjoy gathering requirements, iterating based on feedback, and are driven by building features that solve real customer problems.
