The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our tight-knit, high-impact team. In this role, you will be a foundational individual contributor, helping to architect and build the systems that power our entire platform. We are looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who is as passionate about clean, scalable code as they are about fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of technical challenges, from optimizing backend services to evolving our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build & Innovate: Design, develop, and deploy clean, maintainable, and scalable production code for new product features and system enhancements.
2. Architect for Scale: Contribute to high-level architectural decisions, ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and built for long-term growth.
3. Shape the Culture: Play a key role in cultivating a world-class engineering environment by championing high-quality development standards, testing methodologies, and operational excellence.
4. Drive Impact: Lead technical projects end-to-end, spanning development, data engineering, and infrastructure improvements.
5. Mentor & Grow: Provide thoughtful guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping to elevate the skills and knowledge of the entire team.

Who You Are

1. You possess 5-10 years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in Python. You write code that is not just functional but is also readable, idiomatic, and elegant.
2. You have a proven track record of building and maintaining distributed systems that are scalable, resilient, and easy to reason about.
3. You hold a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field from a respected university.
4. You communicate clearly and effectively, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. You are a low-ego, independent, and accountable team player. You are driven by curiosity, a love for learning, and a desire to share your knowledge generously with your peers.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

1. Domain experience in healthcare technology, fintech, or banking.
2. Strong infrastructure experience with AWS or GCP.
3. Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code (IaaC) practices.
4. Experience working with NLP, Machine Learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) .
