Senior Product Manager, AI

Location: Hybrid (New York, NY) | Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 + Equity + Bonus

The Role: Shape the Future of Intelligent Privacy

As a Senior Product Manager for AI, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the core intelligent features that define our product. You will be responsible for translating a bold vision into tangible, user-facing AI capabilities that are not just useful, but also transparent, safe, and privacy-first by default.

You will partner closely with Engineering and Design to ship products that make AI action-taking feel predictable and controllable, with clear status, progress, and audit trails. This is a high-impact role where you will bridge user needs, technical feasibility, and our unwavering commitment to privacy.

What You'll Do

1. Define the AI Roadmap: Own the strategy and execution for key AI features, from initial concept through launch and iterative improvement.
2. Drive Product-Led Growth: Translate complex customer problems into scoped experiments and MVPs that directly impact activation, retention, and revenue.
3. Ship User-First AI Experiences: Partner with Engineering and Design to build features where AI actions feel transparent and reversible, with user consent and control built into every step.
4. Execute with Precision: Define clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics to keep the team unblocked and aligned.
5. Make Pragmatic Technical Trade-offs: Balance critical factors like system latency, cost, reliability, and privacy in every decision.
6. Establish Rigorous Evaluation: Own metrics for task success rate, user-reported quality, cost, and safety. Run A/B tests to continuously improve the AI experience.
7. Ensure Safe and Compliant Deployment: Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure all AI features are safe-by-default and adhere to the highest standards.
8. Prioritize for Impact: Identify and prioritize new AI capabilities and integrations based on user value, feasibility, and strategic business goals.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience)

1. Proven AI Product Leadership: A track record of shipping user-facing AI products that complete tasks for users (e.g., assistants, agents). Experience with both 0→1 and 1→n product cycles in a startup or high-growth environment.
2. Strong Product Instincts: Expertise in instrumentation, funnel analysis, and designing experiments that move core metrics.
3. Technical Fluency: Comfortable reading/writing light code (Python/JS), working with APIs, and partnering deeply with engineers on architecture. Hands-on experience with LLM productization: prompt/tool design, function calling, RAG basics, and evaluating model performance.
4. Focus on Trust & Control: Experience designing user controls, guardrails, and interfaces that make AI systems explainable and trustworthy.
5. Exceptional Communication: Skilled at aligning cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, GTM, Leadership) on problem statements, trade-offs, and decisions.
