Responsibilities

1. Lead complex technical projects from initial idea through design, production, and deployment — tuning the dispatch algorithm to lift shift fill rates, rebuilding onboarding to convert more workers, and similar high-leverage work
2. Design, architect, and build performant, reliable features, tools, and services across Node.js, React/React Native, MongoDB, Python, JavaScript, and GCP
3. Set technical direction, shape product strategy, and run regular technical reviews
4. Monitor and maintain platform performance in a high-volume, two-sided marketplace, resolving issues and keeping the shift marketplace clearing
5. Mentor junior engineers and help scale the team as it grows

1. A software expert. 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with real depth in the core stack — Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React Native — and genuine curiosity about new technology
