About the Company

We have pioneered a new category of consumer credit. By building a credit card secured by real-world assets—such as home equity and vehicles—we have fundamentally re-engineered the cost of borrowing. This asset-backed model allows us to offer consumers a dramatically lower APR than traditional credit cards, effectively changing the financial infrastructure for the average household.

We are a well-capitalized team with over $250 million in equity funding, backed by top-tier investors including Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and Sequoia. Our team is a blend of technology builders from Microsoft, Facebook, and Azure, and financial executives from Square, CapitalOne, and Goldman.

We are missionaries, not mercenaries. We believe that lowering the cost of capital through technology is one of the most impactful problems we can solve. If we succeed, we build infrastructure that improves lives.

The Role

We are looking for an engineer who is obsessive about the user experience. In this role, you will be building the financial operating system for the modern consumer. You won’t just be shipping code; you will be deeply embedded in the customer journey, working alongside support and servicing teams to identify friction points and iterate toward a perfect product.

You will own features end-to-end, from the pixels on the screen to the data modeling behind the scenes. At this early stage, your influence will shape not only the product roadmap but the very culture of the engineering organization.

What You’ll Do

  1. Build the Core Experience: Architect and build a best-in-class credit card origination flow that is seamless, intuitive, and converts users instantly.
  2. Solve Complex Logistics: Develop a frictionless video notarization solution that simplifies a traditionally cumbersome legal process.
  3. Drive Growth: Execute data-driven growth and engagement tactics to take the product from 0 to 1 and beyond.
  4. Define the Stack: Influence the technology stack and core product infrastructure, ensuring it scales elegantly as the user base grows.
  5. Master the Domain: Become an expert in the intersection of real estate, consumer credit, and software. You will understand every API, every data point, and every regulatory detail that touches the product.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Experience: You have built and maintained consumer-facing interfaces at scale. You understand how to optimize for flaky networks, different device layouts, and micro-interactions that drive engagement.
  2. Technical Depth: You have experience navigating large, technically complex projects with many moving parts. Whether you have worked on production-grade compilers, operating systems, or large distributed systems, you know how to build for reliability.
  3. Pragmatism: You are metrics-driven and obsessed with impact. You prioritize work based on data and are comfortable with rapid, iterative development cycles.
  4. Detail Orientation: No work is beneath you. You are the type of engineer who wants to audit the database cells to ensure accuracy and understand the nuances of the legacy systems you are building on top of.
  5. Collaboration: You thrive in highly collaborative environments. You are ready to riff with the CEO on company strategy, with the compliance lead on regulatory frameworks, or with user research on a new feature concept.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to build a new type of financial infrastructure from the ground up. You will work on hard, meaningful problems alongside a team of people who built Xbox, Visual Studio, and the earliest CapitalOne credit cards. You will have the autonomy to move fast, the backing to do it right, and the satisfaction of building a product that materially improves people’s financial lives.
