What You’ll Do

1. Own feature development end-to-end: Translate ambiguous requirements into shipped solutions (frontend to backend) with minimal oversight.
2. Lead technical execution: Design, build, and release production-ready features using Python, React, and modern cloud-native tools.
3. Make pragmatic decisions: Prioritize "working now" over "perfect later" while avoiding debilitating technical debt.
4. Drive innovation: Craft novel solutions when direction is open-ended, leveraging our stack (NextJS, GraphQL, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS/K8s).
5. Collaborate strategically: Partner with product stakeholders to refine requirements and lead technical initiatives across engineering pods.

1. Frontend: React, NextJS, TypeScript
2. Backend: Python (Async, Pydantic, Type Hints), NodeJS

1. 6+ years shipping full-stack production code (Python + JavaScript/TypeScript) in startup environments.
2. Architectural ownership: Design tables, debug queries, build event-driven systems (Kafka/Redis), and optimize cloud-native apps.
3. Python expertise: Async/await, type hints, Pydantic, and modular/testable code.
4. Autonomy mindset: Thrive with minimal direction; reference existing systems to build net-new features without mocks.
5. User-centric pragmatist: Ship solutions that work for 90% of users on V1—test end-to-end and refine UX proactively.
6. Startup DNA: Self-motivated, opinionated builder who balances speed with maintainability.
